Most Christmas' we would fly to Virginia to spend it at Grandma or Eiling's house no matter where in the world we lived. This year we had just settled down in our own home and due to Derek's basketball tournament schedule we decided to stay home and have a quiet Christmas by ourselves. For so many years I would get presents for everyone (including presents to dad from Emily and Derek, presents to Emily and Derek from dad...etc). The only presents I received were presents from Eiling. Two days ago Emily went shopping with Aunt Judy at Valley Fair to get something for me and she was so excited when I opened my presents! The biggest surprise came when I opened a little jewelry box and saw that Emily had gotten me a beautiful necklace with a cross pendant and I
also bought her a similar necklace! The best part is she said now she understand the true meaning of giving!
