As part of my going away party I have asked that instead of a big party I would like to have a charity auction where I would donate jewelry, artwork and ask friends to put in items of value. Brook, I and Anjana worked up the plan and my marketing team embraced the idea. Wim and Kate were so kind to let us use their residence for this event. Our goal was to raise enough to send 50 kids to college or junior college. The event was so successful we ended up raising enough for 3 NGOs (Ashwini Charitable Trust, Parikrma Foundation and Indira Ganhdi School) to send about 100 kids to school!! I'm glad I am able to leave a legacy to India - a country we called home for two years!
