Globalisation Children's Day

34 kids of multiple culture and nationalities were brought to 4 Cisco Telepresence Locations in Bangalore (Cisco's Globalisation Centre East) to compete, communicate and collaborate in 4 rounds of games. They played Taboo, Charades and participated in "It's Academic" type of game shows where they answered questions related to Cisco, India and Globalisation. It was a day filled with lots of laughter, screaming and fun was had by all. The most amazing thing is the kids expected to have Telepresence working and were not fazed the least bit about technology.

The overall winning team was the red team - Aakash Ingram was the captain. The other team captains were: Olivia Scrivner, Chandra Ingram and Max Elfrink.

puppy love

We brought Kody back to Bangalore with us on Jan 14, 2008. Here's a picture of Kody and Dee Dee. Kody is a Cavachon - a mix of Cavaliar King Charles and Bichon Frise. It's the cutest little thing we have ever seen. He is very active and playful. He did so well on the long journey from San Francisco to Frankfurt and from Frankfurt to Bangalore. We took him out of the pet carrier often to play with him. At one point we had a spare seat on the second segment and he slept in the seat between Emily and me!

We were so concern that Dee Dee might get jealous of the new puppy and eat him. We had the whole plan worked out - Dee Dee got new toys, a big chew bone and when we got into the house we showered Dee Dee with lots of love and attention and then showed her Kody. All is well and we are so happy with our two dogs!! Kody is 81/2 weeks already and he is at a stage where he chews everything and he always seems to pick on my expensive shoes!

We are just puppy-proofing the house - luckily Beverly liked Kody right away so we are all good!!

Whoaa

Indian Saris are very challenging (for me) to put on, it is a really long piece of cloth folded around the front, tucked in, pinned and wrapped around with another pin. I never feel entirely "secure", however, I do enjoy wearing it because it is very very beautiful!

Getting ready for Thierry's party

Here's Mrinalini helping me get dressed in my fancy safi. Thierry Martin hosted one of the most amazing parties at Palm Meadows called "Winter Wonderland". Everyone had to wear white and silver. Mrinalini and I had a great time shopping at Commercial street and we each bought several saris. I now have 7 saris, just need more Indian parties to go to!!
