Jet-skiing

The last time I jet-skiied was 17 years ago in Jamaica and I was a back seat passenger. Technology has improved so much it is impossible to fall into the water now. I remember the old jet skis were very wobbly and if you don't go fast, you'd fall into the water. Now it's like sitting on a cushy sofa which can move really fast! Emily and I had lots of fun for 300 Bhat!!

One more temple

This temple was off the beaten path - I was not dressed properly to get into the famous temple so this one will have to do...

Right after the campus opening we left for Bangkok. We went there to shop. Beverly enjoyed Thailand very much. We went to see the famous temples, bought tons of stuff (rice noodles, crackers, dried shrimp, pork..etc). We even smuggled three mangoes back to India!! We ate ourselves silly - the Thai and Chinese food was so good! One day we each order a big snapper and couldn't finish it!

Emily got her fill of cheeseburgers and roast beef sandwich!

We met up with Ivar and Alex at Georgetown and drove to the Arlington Cemetery to pay respect to the fallen heroes. It was a beautful day - I left for Bangalore the same day around 5pm. Did as much as I could with Derek. We even went back to Georgetown and had greasy burgers and cheese fries before coming home to pack!

All grown up

Ivar, Derek and Etoille just outside of Dulles airport. We met up with Etoille on her way to Beijing for Thanksgiving break. All three kids have finished up their first quarters at boarding school in New England.
