Table Mountain

We took the cable car up to Table Mountain and the view was simply breath-taking. I have been to many places and this is really special!

The big fart

Aakash let go of a really big and loud one and the two shop keepers started laughing uncontrolably!

The kids had a ball goofing around!

The Ingram Family

This is our second trip with the Ingrams and we had such a great time with them. Since they don't have many family photos I took every opportunity to take family photos of them!

Emily's Beer and Snack

Standing in front of Emily's Beer and Snack. Emily would always know that if she doesn't go to Stanford or Harvard she can come back to South Africa to run her bar!

Cape Town

Here we got off the ferry from Robben Island and are going to a museum nearby. We saw seals all over the place and had ribs for lunch at a beautiful outdoor restaurant!

Robben Island Prison

This is inside one of the prisons on Robben Island. The tour guide was one of the political prisoners. Like Mandela, he holds no grudge against the people who put him in prison and prays for peace for South Africa.

Last day of school - TISB

Here's Emily getting ready for her last day of school at TISB - dressed in the rather unattractive uniform, Beverly would take the dogs out while Driver Arvind would take Emily and I to the front gate where we wait with all the other parents/ kids for the TISB bus. Check out Emily's new shoes! We had to buy these ugly shoes two weeks before the end of the school because she got caught not having the property shoes!

Champagne brunch at Olive Garden

This is one of those lunches of no returns!! We'd eat and eat from 11 am to 2pm and be full the rest of the day of great food, company and think about how blessed we are to have these kinds of life experiences and friends!

Family dinner

We will always miss these kinds of family style dinners. Beverly and Mary would be busy in the kitchen preparing the tasty morsels while the kids, the dogs would play in the yard or by the pool. The adults could catch up and discuss our next adventure! We always managed to get imported food from Costco or Trader Joe so kids would enjoy Godiva brownies, chips and salsa (which is not easy to get in Bangalore). This day we even had smoked salmon and assorted cheese!

More friends

One of my favorite couple is the Hodas - Syed and Shabha have lived in the US, France, India and have traveled the world as we have! The lovely Madhu had a baby (her third) while she's on assignment in India! Little Anand is so cute and loved by all!

Bye bye my friends

Brooke and Sahba

Here's the lovely Brooke and Sahba at our party - we know we would keep in touch with them and would all meet up one day in California! Brooke is returning to complete her college and Sahba is an accomplished global artist. Best wishes to both of them!

Family farewell

Here we hosted another party with the Hoda, Khuranna families. Emily invited her best friend Anisha and the Hoda's also brought their puppy Bella who was married to our little Kodi although both of them had the same mother!

Saying goodbye to India

We had a series of going away parties, here we hosted Brooke and Darren for dinner at home. Brooke is getting ready to return to California - wrapping up a few months of charity work and being part of our family. Darren is considering a move to Bangalore.
