Derek was the photographer and he concentrated on taking good photos of everyone. The funniest photo is with Dee Dee and Kodi staying in line to get their "dosa", an Indian crepe made from rice flour.

Backyard Bangalore style Bday party

Irine and 13 other exec admins from Bangalore came for training and I hosted a party for everyone in celebration of my birthday. We all enjoyed traditional Indian food (we had Chat, Dosa and a full Indian buffet!) and the best part was everyone brought their finest Saree! The backyard was transformed! A good time was had by all (including our two dogs!) . My old friend Judy and her husband Peter came over at 4pm to help.

August 5

I got a new hair style today - had my stylist cut off three inches. The shorter look is easier to manage as I start a new job at Cisco.

My 47th Bday

We all got ready and David took us to Black Angus for my birthday celebration. IT's a multi-day thing with family dinner on August 4, my cake on August 5 and a huge Bangalore style party on August 8!

A visit from an old friend - Teddy Chu

Teddy and I go way back to our AT&T days in Hong Kong and Beijing. Teddy has been with AT&T for 24 years! Hard to imagine! He's still with carrier services however is working from home out of his home base of Palm Desert. It was great to catch up and to introduce the kids to uncle Teddy.

Obon Festival

Sunday after church and waiting for Derek to get out of bed we took some photos in the garden. Derek volunteered with the Ninja team to do some community service by washing dishes at the Obon Festival in Palo Alto.
