Kathy's Bday celebration

We were invited to celebrate Emily's BFF Julia's mom's bday on May 22 and we all dressed up! We went to see Wicked downtown and went to a super nice restaurant called Harris. We had the best filet mignon and the cheesecake was to die for!

We took some photos while waiting for Derek to finish his practice at Lincoln High School and then went bike riding at Almaden Park. In between we had a chance to play with Dee Dee and Kodi in the backyard. It was a great weekend!

Family and Friends

After years of moving and changing houses and schools we finally settle down in San Jose. Emily is glad she can finally memorize our home address!

Friends and family

We started 2010 with lots of parties! On January 1 we hosted a party for our friends from Bangalore (The Ingrams and Hodas), subsequent to that we hosted parties for old friends (The Jourets) and new friends (The Hosams)...etc. The constant factor is good food and great company!

Shann's Bday party - Palo Alto

One of Emily's friends from Bangalore moved back to the Bay area - this is exciting times as more and more of her BFFs are moving back to the US! Anisha, Melissa, Aakash, Chandra, Max, Olivia...etc. We can't wait for a big reunion!

Nearly done fixing up the backyard

We had a pond installed two weeks ago and absolutely love the sound of water and the look of it in the corner of the yard. The decks, pathway and the secondary deck are completely done. Last portion is to install the gazebo and the Japanese garden! Given how little time I have on the weekends being the driver, the cook and the cleaner I certainly will be spending a lot of time in the back yard!

Dee Dee got slapped by a goose!

Dee Dee went too close to a goose guarding her eggs and she opened up her wings and slapped Dee Dee's face a few times. Dee Dee will never approach a goose, a duck or a chicken anymore ever!
